A West Yorkshire jeweller has been robbed by three men who were reportedly armed with sledgehammers.

According to local reports, the crime occurred at Wetherby-based store Kendall’s Jewellers shop last Saturday (5 September).

The Yorkshire Evening Post reported that officers were called to the scene at about 1.18pm to reports of three men in the store.

The men in question were armed with sledgehammers and claw hammers, and reportedly fled the scene in a Red AUDI S1 Quattro.

Officers are now asking any members of the public that may have seen the car or have any dash cam footage from that day to come forward.
