Made of ethical, freshwater pearls, the frog-charm embellished bracelet is available in three sizes.
CEO of Frogpearl Felicia Sobocki said: “For every bracelet sold, 40 per cent of the income will go towards UNHCR’s global work in aid of refugees. That will allow us to help those that need it the most, which we wouldn’t be able to do on our own.”
Nickel-free sterling silver chains will be used to produce the bracelet, with production adhering to Frogpearl’s standard ethical framework, which sees pearls polished with corn instead of chemicals and lead-free dyes used to colour the pearls.
UNHCR’s representative to the UK, Roland Schilling, added: “We are very grateful to Frogpearl for supporting us.
“These are very difficult times and 2011 saw suffering on an epic scale; 42.5 million people had to flee their homes and ended the year either as refugees or being displaced within their country. In other words the time to act is now, and everyone who buys one of these bracelets will make a difference.”
