Subrosa has launched www.subrosaexchange.co.uk, a secure environment where connoisseurs and collectors alike can buy, sell and swap jewellery without having to pay auction house fees.
“We are able to offer customers better prices and service on fine jewellery because we have the platform to sell pre-owned pieces without the wait, rigour and hefty fees of the auction houses,” explained company owner Desiree Fixler.
A swap-shop feature will also be available for purchasers from the new system. Fixler, who has 16 years’ experience as an investment banker, continued: “Even though people are tightening their belts in this tougher economic climate, our customers can still wear different pieces of jewellery at every special occasion and always free of charge.”
Under the scheme, once a customer has purchased an item using the system, they become part of an exclusive club, whereby, using the purchase as collateral which is held securely by Subrosa, clients can temporarily borrow another piece to suit ensembles for glamorous events.
