The Goldsmiths’ Fair will showcase 170 leading designer-makers as well as sporting a radical new look when it returns on September 22.
The exhibition, which comprises of an array of contemporary jewellery and silver, will be held at the Goldsmiths’ Hall in London and will showcase newly completed masterpieces from the featured designers and the next generation of precious metal stars.
Each artist will unveil their latest collections, the result of months of creativity in their independent workshops providing a unique collection of cutting-edge designs, ancient and futuristic techniques and a mix of precious metals and gemstones.
In a statement, the Goldsmith’s Fair’s organisers said: “Building on over 30 years of success, Goldsmiths’ Fair celebrates the very best in British design and craftsmanship…the antidote to high-street humdrum, giving visitors the chance to buy something truly original and distinctive, face-to-face with the artist.”
Exhibitors are selected from across the UK by an expert judging panel assembled by the Goldsmiths’ Company. Those exhibiting for the first time this year include Jacqueline Mina OBE, pearl specialist Melanie Georgacopoulos, Christina Zani, creator of vibrant architectural jewellery, Yusuke Yamamoto and jeweller Tanja Ufer.
