H&T Pawnbrokers has announced it is to sponsor History channel’s Pawn Stars UK programme.
A statement from the firm said it aims to bring pawnbroking to the “mainstream and the goal is to show the day-to-day of pawnbroking in order to allay any consumer fears and concerns.”
Chief executive John Nichols said: “We’re really keen to show the public what pawnbroking is really like, to remove the mystery, and prove there’s nothing to be wary of. Sponsoring Regal Pawn in the Pawn Stars UK TV programme is the perfect opportunity to open up the doors of pawnbroking.”
Pawn Stars, a series which follows the daily operations of Regal Pawn in Chester, will start on Monday September 22.
