Luxury watch brand IWC Schaffhausen has announced its continued partnership of the British Film Insitute’s (BFI) fundraising gala event, Luminous, with the creation of an exclusive timepiece.

The fundraiser, which will be held on October 6, the eve of the BFI film festival, is designed to celebrate film talent from across the world, as well as helping to secure the future of the BFI national archive – the UK’s national collection of film and TV.

The gala will be hosted by Jonathan Ross and held at the Guildhall, incorporating red carpet arrivals, a cocktail reception, dinner and live entertainment.

There will also be a charity auction led by renowned auctioneer Lord Dalmeny, featuring lots donated from BFI supporters, including a bespoke timepiece from IWC created exclusively for the event.

Last year, IWC celebrated the start of its three-year partnership with the BFI, where guests including Emily Blunt, Christoph Waltz, Stephen Fry and Mick Jagger attended the VIP event.
