Watchfinder is to open a two-storey retail premises in Leeds, its third bricks and mortar boutique in the UK.

The boutique will be situated in the historic Grade II* listed Victoria Quarter arcade and is due to open in late September 2015.

With two stores in the South East already, Watchfinder’s new store in the Victoria Quarter is “an integral part of the brand’s national expansion”, with further stores earmarked to open across the UK in 2016.

Outside London, Leeds is one of the largest financial centres in the United Kingdom, and is described by the Lonely Planet guides as the ‘Knightsbridge of the North’. It is the fourth biggest city for Watchfinder clients, behind London, Manchester and Birmingham. More than 5% of Watchfinder clients live within an hour’s drive of the store and 15% within a two hour drive.

Alongside the staple of luxury retailers including Harvey Nichols, Louis Vuitton and Mulberry, the Watchfinder Leeds boutique will act as the brand’s Northern flagship store. Holding over £6million worth of stock, the boutique will have a constant rotation of premium watches available from a selection of over 3,500 timepieces from 50 brands, including Rolex, Omega and Breitling.

As with the London and Kent stores, customers will be able to request that specific stock be available in-store to try on ahead of purchase.

Lloyd Amsdon, co-founder, said: “We are delighted to be opening in the Victoria Quarter in Leeds, and we’re looking forward to welcoming existing customers as well as meeting new watch fans who appreciate the unparalleled level of service and range of pre-owned stock that Watchfinder offers.”
