Winsor Bishop has thanked members of the public for their help following an attempted robbery on the store on Wednesday morning.
The Norwich-based jewellery store said it would like to thank all of the “heroes” on London Street who helped during and after the raid on Wednesday morning, when six men wearing motorcycle helmets and wielding axes attempted to enter the store.
The attempted smash-and-grab raid was caught on camera by bystanders, some of whom tried to tackle the robbers as they made their escape on mopeds.
Six males, including a 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, were arrested just off the A11 near Thetford after they were followed by a police helicopter.
In a statement on Facebook, the company said: “The team here at Winsor Bishop have been overwhelmed at the level of support we have received from our customers, local businesses, the police, and the general public.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to all of those who have supported us following [Wednesday’s] incident. There is a lot of shock, there is some trauma but there is a great sense of unity.”
Winsor Bishop said that its store is open for business as usual.
