Four people have pleaded guilty to their involvement in the Hatton Garden raid, which saw more than £10m worth of jewellery taken.

John Collins, 74, Daniel Jones, 58, Terry Perkins, 67, and Brian Reader, 76, all pleaded guilty to conspiracy to burgle during a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court this morning.

Five other men, including Hugh Doyle, 48, William Lincoln, 60, Paul Reader, 50, Carl Wood, 58, and John Harbinson, 42, face the same charge and are due to face trial scheduled for November. Carl Wood and Paul Reader are yet to enter pleas.

Four other suspects are also due to appear in court – Brenn Walters, also known as Ben Perkins, 43, Laura Perkins, 40, Terri Robinson, 35, and Steven Robinson, 46 – charged with conspiracy to conceal, disguise, convert or transfer criminal property.

The raid took place over the Easter bank holiday weekend when thieves used heavy cutting equipment to drill into the vault at the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit company, where they broke into more than 70 deposit boxes.
