Jeremy France Jewellers named Winchester’s ‘Independent Business of the year’

Jeremy France Jewellers has scooped the award for the ‘Independent Business of the Year’ at the Winchester Business Excellence Awards 2016.

The event at Guildhall on Friday, 3 June, was attended by the city’s finest independent businesses, with rally driving champion Penny Mallory kicking off proceedings and the Mayor of Winchester, Cllr Jane Rutter, inviting attendees to eat a three-course meal.

The award for ‘Independent Business of the Year’ was sponsored by the Winchester Business Improvement District (BID), a non-profit organisation that supports the local area and its businesses, working towards a greener, cleaner and safer city.

The winner of the award had to demonstrate to the judges that they could provide a “first-class level of customer service, consistently excellent customer engagement, as well as the ability to adapt to consumer and trading trends”.
