The amount of jewellery retail space at Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield has grown 50% in the past two years, due to increasing sales and demand.

According to the centre manager, Darren Pearce, this is a result of “consistent” sales growth, which has resulted in an increase in average spend and the continued growth in sales of premium watch brands including Breitling, Rolex and Tag Heuer.

This has led to the addition of retail brands such as Goldsmiths Boutique and the upscaling of the existing Goldsmiths’ store in a bid to meet increased customer demand and improve its jewellery offering.

Pearce said: “Jewellery sales have grown consistently, over the past two years Meadowhall has seen more than a 50% increase in Jewellery space as sales and demand has grown.

“Jewellery brands form an integral part of Meadowhall’s retail offer, complementing our high-end fashion stores and helping to continue to position Meadowhall as the destination of choice for shopping in the region.”
