Jewellery retail chain Goldsmiths has announced the opening of a Rolex lounge at its showroom in Liverpool’s shopping complex, Liverpool One.

The recently re-designed store on Paradise Street has undergone a refurbishment, temporarily closing and reopening in November. This was ahead of the new Rolex room, which has now opened in a neighbouring unit.

The showroom – one of two Goldsmiths’ stores in the city – is the only Goldsmiths branch to feature a dedicated Rolex lounge.

As a result of the expansion the company has employed an additional eight staff members, taking the store’s total number of employees up to 13.

Craig Bolton, executive director of Goldsmiths, which is owned by luxury jeweller Aurum Holdings, said: “We are delighted to announce the upscaling of our current Liverpool showroom this winter.

“Liverpool is an incredibly vibrant shopping destination with rich culture and we are relishing the opportunity to have an even bigger presence in the heart of the city, in Liverpool One.”

Goldsmiths is the UK’s largest luxury high street retailer and has a portfolio of 110 stores nationwide.
