Chopard announces collaboration with Rihanna

Luxury Swiss jewellery brand Chopard has announced a collaboration with singer Rihanna for two upcoming collections.
The ‘Rihanna Loves Chopard’ collection will debut at this year’s Cannes Film Festival in May and will be available for sale in June.

The nine-piece fine jewellery collection will be inspired by the singer’s Barbadian roots and will consist of vibrant, colourful floral designs.

The range will also include a pair of transformable diamond earrings, which Rihanna wore when she covered the March 2017 edition of Harper’s Bazaar.

Rihanna said: “I have always been in love with Chopard’s exquisite jewellery, so to actually design collections with them is something I still can’t believe. It was a really incredible process and I learned so much. I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

Rihanna will also work with Caroline Scheufele, Chopard’s creative director, by adding to her ‘Ice Cube’ range which launched in 1999. The singer chose ‘jungle green’ designs to be incorporated into the line.

Scheufele said: “Rihanna and I collaborated closely on the collections so you can feel her unstoppable energy, strong creativity, and inherent sense of design in every piece. With her unique style, she redefines the way people see and wear jewellery.”
