Christie’s unveils headline pieces for April auction

Christie’s has announced its April 13 ‘Magnificent Jewels auction, which will be headlined by The Fuchsia Rose, an intense purple-pink diamond of 8.82 carats, priced at $4-6m (£3-4.5m).
The auction also includes a selection of coloured and colourless diamonds, along with historic jewels from “renowned private collections”, and an assemblage of signed jewels by Bvlgari, Cartier, JAR, Tiffany & Co., and Van Cleef and Arpels.
The sale is rounded out with Property from the Rockefeller Family, which includes: a Cartier Art Deco sapphire and diamond bracelet, a Van Cleef and Arpels sapphire and diamond ring and an Art Deco emerald bead, diamond and multi-gem necklace.
Last month, Christie’s revealed its previous auction, La Dolce Vita, achieved a total of £2,052,724 and attracted participation from 38 countries, across four continents.
The top jewels of the sale were an old cut diamond ring of over 25 carats, which achieved £316,583, alongside a pair of old cut diamonds, of over 12 carats each, which fetched £253,266.
