Canadian jeweller Birks readies for UK launch

Canadian jewellery brand Birks is set for its UK launch with the support of Aurum Group Holdings.

From Monday 9 October, a specially curated collection of the brand’s contemporary jewellery will be stocked in Mappin & Webb stores across the country.

The brand was founded in Montreal in 1879 and has become one of Canada’s leading retailers, manufacturers and designers of high-end jewellery, watches and gifts. Birks will launch in the UK with five collections of varying price ranges to cater to a wide market.

• Birks Muse – The house’s ‘iconic’ collection with designs based on the ceiling pattern of the first store in Old Montreal and celebrating the brand’s Canadian heritage with a unique hallmark.
• Birks Rock & Pearl – This line is inspired by the architectural details found in the Montreal flagship store and features pairings of pearls and silver.
• Birks Rosée du Matin and Birks Splash – These two are delicate diamond collections inspired by nature, featuring bar pendants and earrings with diamond layers and sleek wrapping rings.
• Birks Bee Chic – This range is inspired by the honeycomb and fuses accents of onyx with mother of pearl and diamond.
