London-based fine jewellery brand The Alkemistry has just launched its newest collection, Suncatcher, in line with the season.
The earring-only collection features 27 fluid designs hand-made from 18ct recycled gold using a mix of brilliant and rose cut diamonds.
The new collection is handmade by The Alkemistry’s team of female apprentices in its London workshop and was the first collection by junior designer Emily Laing.
The jewellery brand said that the collection “with its movement, circles and arches containing rose cut diamonds aims to embody beautiful suncatchers that bring light and energy into our lives”.
Designs range from everyday to statement pieces, with the largest earring housing 0.77ct of diamonds.
Each piece is designed to be mixed and matched therefore the collection is sold as single earrings.
Each piece is available in 18ct yellow and white gold with prices starting from £495 to £2,500.
Kirstie Gibbs, founder of The Alkemistry, said: “Suncatcher was not planned, it was a creative spark taken from a team meeting. Someone suggested a new earring in our Aria collection was ‘like a rainbow’ and ‘a modern day chandelier’ developing to ‘it’s like a dreamcatcher’. This led us into a wonderful creative process and the Suncatcher collection was brought to life.
“The thing that brings me the most joy in my business is working with our young team and seeing new concepts and ideas being brought to life. I am very proud of Suncatcher because it is truly beautiful and unique, and it was a team led creative process.”
