Chaumet appoints new CEO

Chaumet has announced the appointment of Charles Leung as its new CEO effective 1 January 2024.

Leung is a graduate of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and ESSEC Business School in Paris.

He began his career in High Jewellery at Cartier (Richemont), working in marketing and retail.

He joined Chaumet in 2006 to develop the Maison’s activities in the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular focus on the Chinese market.

In 2012, he was promoted to vice president of Distribution and Sales, in charge of Chaumet global operations.

After this he was appointed CEO of FRED in 2018 by LVMH, he played a key role in that house’s turnaround, generating solid sales, increasing profits, and burnishing the brand’s image and desirability.

In his new role Leung’s mission will be to pursue the strategy of global development, which currently sees nearly 80 Chaumet boutiques established around the world.
