Beaverbrooks to give away £2,000 of wedding jewellery

The competition has been launched to help couples who have booked their wedding on 19 May from feeling ‘overshadowed’

Jewellery retailer Beaverbrooks is giving away £2,000 of wedding jewellery to a lucky couple – as long as they are getting married on the same day as the royal wedding.

Beaverbrooks, is giving couples getting married on 19 May the chance to win the free jewellery as compensation for having their “wedding day thunder stolen by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle”.

One couple marrying on that day will be given £2,000 to spend on jewellery, including wedding rings, diamonds for the bride, or gifts for the bridesmaid, flower girls and best men.

A Beaverbrooks spokesperson said: “All eyes will be on Harry and Meghan’s ceremony this May, and couples who have booked their wedding on the same day might be feeling like their big day has been overshadowed by the royal occasion.

“To combat this, we want to give one local couple the royal treatment by inviting them in-store to enjoy a £2,000 shopping spree to help them find the perfect jewellery for their big day.”
