Maya Magal to open third store in London’s King’s Cross

Magal has maintained close links to the capital’s jewellery hub and hand-makes more than half of her pieces in London

British jewellers Maya Magal London are to open their third store at Coal Drops Yard, the new shopping district at King’s Cross, in October 2018.

Following recent openings in Islington and Marylebone, the shop will affirm the brand’s retail presence in the capital and provide a flagship location for the company in London’s new cultural quarter.

Maya Magal, the brand’s founder, established her line in 2013. Based in Islington, her designs are targeted to be worn as accessible everyday luxury pieces that are “versatile and durable, with a classic and minimal look focused on gold and silver”.

Having started the brand in a Hatton Garden workshop following her training as a jeweller, Magal has maintained close links to the capital’s jewellery hub and hand-makes more than half of her pieces in London. The brand releases collections twice a year and presents globally at Paris, London and New York Fashion Weeks.

Maya Magal London’s design aesthetic is reflected in their retail interiors the stores are designed to encourage a tactile shopping experience, displaying the hand-making process. She said: “At Coal Drops Yard, we want to create a truly unique and interactive jewellery store, celebrating our new home and affirming the brand’s DNA as we grow.”
