A 41-year-old man has been charged with robbery following an incident at Mallard jewellers and pawnbrokers in Leicester, which took place on Saturday (5 January 2019).


Imtiaz Patel, 41, of Marina Road, Leicester, was also charged with possession of a knife in a public place.

A statement by Leicester Police read: “The charges relate to an incident at a premises in Haymarket, Leicester, on Saturday morning. Patel has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Monday 7 January.”
