Studex marks 50 years in professional ear piercing

Studex is marking its 50th anniversary this year, having operated in the professional ear-piercing market since 1976.

The company said it has focused on safety, hygiene and precision, supplying piercing systems and jewellery to salons, jewellers, retailers, piercing studios and healthcare settings worldwide.

Studex is best known for its System 75 ear-piercing system, which it said helped establish hygiene and ease-of-use standards that remain influential across the industry. Over the past five decades, the business has expanded its product range to include a wide selection of piercing jewellery alongside training and customer support services for professionals.

The company said its approach has centred on developing technology designed to improve safety and consistency in ear piercing, alongside training programmes aimed at supporting practitioners at different stages of their careers.

As part of the anniversary year, Studex plans to launch a series of exclusive jewellery collections during 2026. The company said the collections are intended to reflect changes in professional piercing styles while supporting safe practice.

Studex also said it would continue to invest in training and support for piercing professionals, with a focus on ensuring practitioners have access to up-to-date guidance and tools.
