Kiki McDonough has expanded its signature collection with the launch of new Heart and Pear Detachable Drops, featuring Scatter-Pavé rubies, pink sapphires, and diamonds.

The exclusive styles are crafted in 18ct yellow gold and are designed to bring versatility to the brand’s aesthetic ahead of the Valentine’s Day gifting season.

Pioneered by founder Kiki McDonough over two decades ago, the “detachables” concept allows users to interchange gemstone drops on standard 18ct gold hoops.

This versatility was originally designed for the “sociable working woman,” providing a transition from professional day-wear to evening attire.

The new additions include heart-shaped and pear-shaped silhouettes. The heart drops feature approximately 0.23ct of ruby, 0.35ct of pink sapphire, and 0.09ct of diamond.

Meanwhile, the pear-shaped variant follows a similar technical profile, with both designs specifically balanced to fit the brand’s tapered and diamond-set hoops.

Founder Kiki McDonough established her eponymous brand in 1985. Her work is noted for its use of vibrant colour combinations, with early designs held in the permanent modern jewellery collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum.

The brand said: “The new drops are designed to be worn stacked or solo, embodying a modern luxury aesthetic that prioritises tactile, wearable craftsmanship. The new styles will be available via the company’s official e-commerce platform and its flagship store off Sloane Square.”
