For the gold – jewellery industry, 2020 opens in Vicenza, Italy on 17th January with Vicenzaoro January – The Jewellery Boutique Show, the sector’s international hub of reference and the most exclusive and much-awaited stage for the market’s top brands to exhibit their latest creations.
Organized by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), the first event of the year is held together with T-GOLD, the international show for machinery and the most innovative technologies applied to jewellery and precious metal processing, both showcasing until the 22nd.
VOJ 2020 hosts 1500 exhibiting brands – covering the entire production chain – and their arrangement into communities, based on positioning and target, facilitates the show experience for the traders, the majority of whom are foreign buyers from over 120 countries representing the most prestigious boutiques, malls, retailers and stores in the world’s largest cities.
Many are the interactive workshops, congresses and seminars.
The opening conference, VISIO.NEXT, is focused on creativity and innovation; a hackaton in collaboration with Padua University open to 60,000 students and researchers highlights the role of the trade show as a bridge between the worlds of research and work.
The theme of Sustainability is developed and further examined in all its aspects during Cibjo’s main event as well as at the traditional Digital Talks, an unmissable series of 30-minute Talks and brainstorming on the hottest themes regarding digital innovation specifically for jewellery and watch retailers, and Gem Talks, meetings with expert gemmologists from all over the world organized in collaboration with I.G.I. (Italian Gemmology Institute).
Lastly, with its “StartUp and Carats” project, for the first time IEG will be launching a focus on the Start-Up and innovative SME world as a further means to innovate the supply chain.
During VOJ 20 IEG launches the brand new VO Vintage event, an original exhibition dedicated to vintage watches and jewellery with unique items and some of the world’s most coveted rarities on display. From Saturday 18th to Monday 20th January this exclusive event runs alongside VOJ with its own entrance in the foyer on the first floor of the Vicenza Expo Centre, in an exclusive context specifically for collectors and enthusiasts.
