The Italian Exhibition Group is set to now hold two of its annual jewellery fairs after the Italian government has signified an ease to the nationwide lockdown.
Vicenzaoro September 2020 will now be held as planned between 5 September and 9 September at the Vicenza Expo Centre. It is one of the largest jewellery fairs in Italy, and takes place in the country’s gold district.
The show attracts producers, brands, buyers and journalists from around the world to present and discover new collections in the industry.
The annual trade fair, Oroarezzo, is also set to take place in the city of Arezzo. The show, which is typically held in April, has been postponed twice this year in light of the ongoing pandemic.
It is now set to take place between 18 July and 21 July at the Arezzo Expo Centre. The show specifically exhibits Italian jewellery, and typically attracts visitors from around the world.
To accommodate international buyers who may still be unable to attend the shows, the Italian Exhibition Group is planning to host an “omni-channel edition of the fair” through videoconferencing.
Reports that both shows will go ahead follows an announcement from the Italian Prime Minister last Monday (27 April), when he revealed that social distancing measures would start to be relaxed from 4 May onwards.
