Throughout 2013, three distinctive pieces from Brown & Newirth’s very vintage collection will be classified as the Ballerina Collection, and the companies will unite to donate £100 for every engagement ring and £50 for every wedding ring sold by Green + Benz.

The rings have been named after Darcey Bussell, Anna Pavlova and Margot Fonteyn, widely regarded as three of the greatest classical ballet dancers of all time.

Based in London, icandance is a charity which offers dance and performance opportunities to children and young people with varying disabilities, including wheelchair users.

“Ballet has always been my second passion after jewellery, I trained via the Royal Academy of Dancing for 16 years,” remarked Helen Dimmick, managing director of Green + Benz.

“I was introduced to this wonderful charity and I just had to be involved.

“The work they do with the children is truly awe-inspiring; you can see how every moment really captures their imagination and the true joy of dance. I am honoured and privileged to be able to give something in return, and I cannot thank Brown & Newirth enough for this charitable partnership.”

Sales director at Brown & Newirth, John Ball added: “When Helen approached me to discuss the icandance project I did not have to think for a second. As a dad to three fit and healthy children I jumped at the opportunity to partner with this truly incredible organisation, especially when I witnessed at first hand the astonishing work that the charity do for both the children and their parents.

“Spending time at icandance was some of the most inspirational and emotional I can remember in my life time.”

Founder and principal at icandance, Juliet Diener concluded: “We are so grateful to be supported by the creative partnership of Green + Benz and Brown & Newirth. Through their generosity more children with disabilities will be able to experience the joy of dance and be given the opportunity to perform regardless of their difference.”
