Ernest Jones is set to upsize to a larger store at Southampton’s WestQuay shopping centre.

Due to open in March, the new 3,200 square foot store will be located on WestQuay’s upper level adjacent to brands such as Jack Wills.

Sarah Mander, assistant director for retail leasing at Hammerson, a developer of retail property, said: “Ernest Jones’ decision to upsize their store reflects how strongly the sector performs at WestQuay.

“It is also indicative of the centre’s overall performance, which continues to go from strength to strength. This is generating significant demand from leading brands, both those with experience of WestQuay seeking to upsize, and new entrants.”

The store will represent the latest in a number of brands to upsize at the shopping centre including Fat Face, Jack Wills, Cath Kidston, Superdry and Boux Avenue.
