Swedish brand Edblad has announced the launch of what it calls a new ‘experimental’ brand – Edblad LAB.
The company said that the brand, which debuts with a silver and gold collection, aims to test and try out new materials, techniques and designs in order to “develop and breathe life into new Edblad creations”.
Hans Edblad, co-founder, said: “Edblad LAB is thinking outside the box with new materials, techniques and designs. We are testing ideas that we want to develop and feel curious about.
“A few examples of some products will be examined and others will be tested more widely. Some innovations are here to stay, and some are just experiments from our LABoratory which will be available only for a short period of time.”
The first jewellery collection from the new brand features “delicate” pieces in solid sterling silver and 14-carat gold-plated brass.
