Independent jewellery brand Alyssa Smith has teamed up with motorsport company RetroGP.com to create a jewellery collection.
The ‘Hesketh by ASJ’ collection is a small range of miniature sterling silver pieces featuring the Hesketh Bear mascot.
The bear is known as the mascot for the 1974 Rock ‘n’ Roll Formula 1 Team, which helped to launch the career of British racing driver James Hunt.
Smith said: “It has been an absolute pleasure to team up with RetroGP.com to bring our collective fans around the world such an important slice of motorsport history in the form of wearable pieces of craftsmanship like you’ve never seen before.”
The collection will turn the bear into 3D pieces of jewellery, no bigger than a thumbnail.
With the collection aiming to “rekindle” the memory of illustrious racing teams, Andrew Smith, the founder of RetroGP.com added that some things were “too important to be left in the past.”
The collection will start from £95 and is available on both the Alyssa Smith and RetroGP websites.
