Independent jewellery retailer Winsor Bishop has expanded its portfolio with the opening of its new store in Cambridge.

The company’s second store – located on the city’s Trinity Street – cost £1m to set up, including a full refurbishment and the connection of two stores internally. It also includes a champagne and prosecco bar, named W Bar.

The move for Winsor Bishop, which is owned by sisters Tanya von Moll and Sophie Fulford, follows a report from Jewellery Focus earlier this year that the company was on target to achieve the highest annual sales growth in its 185-year history.

Winsor Bishop said the new store sets the future vision for the company, initiating the first steps for its retail growth plan.

Fulford said: “Both Tanya and I went to school in Cambridge, so alongside the great memories we share here, the phenomenal growth Cambridge alone has seen over recent years meant the location was perfect for us to roll-out phase one of our group growth plan and introduce our brand to the city.

“We very much look forward to welcoming everyone and celebrating the new look for Winsor Bishop.”

The store presents jewellery collections which have been designed by the company’s internal design team, as well as other leading jewellery brands including Gucci and Tag Heuer.
