Flux Fair Luxury – the UK’s first responsible jewellery conference – has announced the speakers who will be taking part in this year’s two-day conference.

The event, which takes place in three weeks, has confirmed that Lisa Levinson from Forevermark, Claus Teilmann-Petersen, vice-president of group ethics at Danish jewellery brand Pandora, Victoria Waugh from the Fairtrade Foundation, Jack Cunningham from Gemfields and Tim Ingle from retailer Ingle & Rhode will be among the speakers attending.

Andrew Bone from the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and Alan Frampton from jewellery brand Cred will also speak at the event.

The first day of Flux Fair Luxury will focus on sustainable and responsible sourcing in the jewellery sector. It will look at case studies from ethical UK jewellers and look at research surrounding consumer attitudes. There will also be a sales training launch from Fairtrade Gold.

The second day will explore wider issues in the industry including human rights, manufacturing and specific areas of the supply chain. Environmental impact will be looked at as well as global initiatives.

The Flux Fair Luxury show will take place at The Assay Office in Birmingham on 25 to 26 April.
