Jewellery designer Arabel Lebrusan has released a bridal collection with what it describes as the “most ethical gold”.
The exclusive range features earrings, engagement rings and wedding rings made with Fairmined Ecological Gold and the brand claims it is the “first of its kind” in the UK market.
The brand justifies its ethics claim because it says no “toxic chemicals” are used to extract the metal from the Earth.
This is unlike regular Fairmined Gold which uses a reduced amount of chemicals to extract the precious metal.
Lebrusan was one of the first registered jewellers in the UK to use Fairtrade Gold.
Lebrusan said: “I believe that we can use the beautiful materials that come from the Earth, without harming our blue planet. I believe that by asking questions, simplifying supply chains and sharing knowledge, we can achieve this.
“I have always dreamed of using gold that has been extracted from the Earth without chemicals, so I am extremely excited to be able to do this now.”
Each piece of the collection, named ‘Engraved in my Heart’ has been handmade in the UK and is inspired by nature.
