Aether Diamonds has announced that it is the first company in the world to receive a vegan certification for its diamonds.

The certification was granted in April 2021 by Vegan Action (vegan.org) which has over 20 years of operational experience.

The jewellers is one of the first companies to create “positive-impact diamonds”, with their technique to use carbon from the air removing pollution from the atmosphere in the process.

Since the jewellers launched last year, they have been advocating to educate consumers about the differences between its diamonds and other diamonds on the market.

The results of its diamonds have already made a positive impact to the environment, in comparison to mined diamonds which the group claim aid in “destroying ecosystems and wildlife habitats”, and other lab-grown diamonds on the market which are “reliant” on fossil fuels as their source of carbon.

The group aims to cut through the “typical greenwashing” in the marketplace and lead the diamond industry into a more eco-friendly future for both its customers and the planet.
