So-le Studio has opened its first-ever boutique, a flagship store in the heart of Milan located at Via Sant ‘Andrea 10.

Over 2800 square metres, it is surrounded by a building with a double loggia dating back to 1600. The flagship store was designed by Fondamenta, a Milan-based architectural practice created in 2016 by Francesca Beatrice Gagliardi and Federico Rossi.

The brief from So-le Studio owner Maria Sole Ferragamo was to design “much more than a jewellery store, rather an experiential space embodying the guiding principles of the jewellery brand”.

Ferragamo said: “I consider my jewellery as living organisms, companions for the wearer. For my first store, I wanted to recreate the sensation of being inside a living organism, a space that moves, breathes, changes like my jewellery pieces do.

“I like the idea that the client is immersed in this experience and loses track of time and space. FONDAMENTA really managed to grasp this idea and bring the concept to life in a beautiful way.”
