Detectives investigating a smash and grab raid at the Hour House jewellery store, which saw Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews hide in the jewellery shop’s vault during the attack,  have made three arrests.

Mathews was there to collect a watch at the jewellers in Duke Street, Marylebone, which was the only one not stolen during the incident.

Police were called at 10:32am on Tuesday, 28 May following reports that men armed with weapons drove to the premises on mopeds and smashed a window before stealing goods and fleeing.

Officers in attendance included specialist firearms colleagues. Three men have been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and remain in custody at a north London police station.

A member of the public, aged in his 30s, was treated for a minor injury; this has been assessed as non life threatening or life-changing.

Metropolitan police said enquiries are continuing, and anyone with information or footage of the incident is asked to call 101 with CAD ref 2222/28 May.
