Cambridgeshire Police have released video footage of four masked men breaking into a jewellery store in Ely at around 3am on 13 November.

Police were called to Italian Jewellery in the early hours of the morning to reports of a break in at the store on Ely’s High Street Passage.

The burglars “ransacked” the store and are believed to have stolen more than £100,000 worth of rings and watches.

Italian Jewellery is known around Cambridgeshire for selling “exquisite Italian jewellery” with a large range of luxury watch brands and jewellery.

Detective Sergeant Ashley Ryan, who is investigating the crime, said: “This was a smash and grab which saw a staggering amount of jewellery stolen in a matter of minutes.

“I’m urging anybody who has any information about the incident, or who recognises the men, to get in touch as a matter of urgency.”
