For three nights Lumbers offered guests fine dining, wines and entertainment, courtesy of Anthony Kinsey and T’Pau’s Carol Decker.

Organised by Champions (UK) Plc, Lumbers’ annual event gives the showroom a chance to provide its guests with an evening of opulent dining in its dazzling surroundings.

Food for the evening was provided by Finesse Hospitality, which sources its food locally, and the accompanying wines were specially selected from Charles Mitchell Wines.

Established in 1881, Lumbers was originally owned by its namesake John Lumbers. Lumbers and his family descendants grew the business before it was purchased by successful businessman Horace Gomersall in the 1920s. Horace’s grandson, Dominic, came into the family business in 1988, and in fact married a descendant of the Lumbers family.

Dominic said of the evening: “We really enjoy holding this event every year and it gives us the opportunity to do something different by transforming our showroom into a restaurant. I would like to thank Finesse Hospitality, Charles Mitchell Wines and Champions (UK) Plc for helping us to make the evenings a great success, as ever.”
