The award was presented to Bijou by Danish jewellery brand Dansk Smykkekunst, which sponsored the Best Gift Retailer of Jewellery and Fashion Accessories category.
Bijou owner David Robertson said: “Winning the award is a culmination of many years of hard work by my mother who started the jewellery side of the business from scratch.
“The award is, of course, a validation of all this hard work, but the real secret to it all is my mother’s drive to constantly find and source new products. We also pride ourselves on our classic brands such as Coeur de Lion, which we have continually sold well over a long period of time.
“Going forward, the award will allow us to promote the business further and attract even more brands to come on board and support us.”
The prestigious Greats Awards ceremony, now in its 11th year, was presented by comedian Hal Cruttenden and held at the iconic Savoy Hotel in the heart of London, and brought together the entire gift industry in the UK.
