A jewellery collection based on one of the natural wonders of the UK has been chosen by the National Trust to sell in its visitors centre.

The collection, which was inspired by the world-famous natural rock formations of Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland, was designed by up-and-coming Nancy Rose Jewellery.

This is only the second time that the National Trust at Giant’s Causeway has chosen to work with an independent designer for its official merchandise.

The range consists of sterling silver earrings and a pendant, set with a cubic zirconia which are meant to represent the pools of water that collect in the staggered rocks.

Retail buyer Margaret Dunlop said: “Visitors who visit Giant’s Causeway tend to buy souvenirs specific to or made in Ireland, so a [jewellery] product inspired by Giant’s Causeway is a very popular choice.”
