Carat has continued to expand its retail footprint in Asia this year with store openings in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Bangkok, taking the total number of locations up to 19.

Its most recent opening in Hong Kong shopping mall, Times Square, plants the brand firmly in one of the most sought-after shopping district in the region.

The brand is also in the process of opening two new shops in two other premium positions including the K11 shopping centre and SOGO department store.

In addition, the company’s China operations will open three new boutiques at the Xintiandi shopping district, SOGO department store and one at Bangkok’s Central World shopping complex.

Scott Thompson, CEO, said: “The business has grown significantly for us in the UK and our Hong Kong/China market and we believe our presence in Asia benefits our growing UK and continental European business with Chinese tourists travelling further and wider than ever before thus further reinforcing the brand’s international presence.

“We’ve been doing this for almost 11 years now and I can finally saw we are at a point where Carat is truly starting to reach its potential in the bridge jewellery market.”
