Signet Jewellers, parent company of H Samuel, Leslie Davis and Ernest Jones in the UK, has announced the appointment of Daniel Shull as its first chief information officer (CIO).

The appointment will be effective from January 5 and Signet hopes that the new role will improve its technology outreach and consumer experience on its retail sites.

Shull will be responsible for IT systems across three divisions and will work to ensure IT solutions and investments are aligned with the brand’s visions.

CEO Mark Light said: “Dan will help us continue to identify new and groundbreaking ways to serve our guests and expand our initiatives. He is an innovative thinker with a dynamic, multifaceted background in retail and IT.

“We are all very excited for Dan to join the team at Signet and look forward to him contributing to our success and growth.”

Shull joins the company after more than seven years at Nike where he held senior IT leadership roles including global retail chief information officer.
