Danish jewellery brand Trollbeads has announced the launch of its seventh annual ‘People’s Bead’ competition.
The competition asks Trollbeads customers to put forward their ideas for a ‘themed’ bead, drawing on what “inspires them, makes them happy or fills their life”. This year’s theme is “share your passion”.
Designs must be submitted by April 6, after which 100 submissions will be selected and presented on the Trollbeads website for the final vote from Trollbeads’ consumers from April 17 to April 26.
An announcement of the winner will be made on September 28, and the person who designed it will see the bead created as well as receiving a cash reward.
The ‘People’s Bead 2015’ will then launch on October 9 and will become part of the Trollbeads winter collection 2015.
Last year’s winning design was created by Mirjam Seling of Bavaria, an interpretation of the yin-yang symbol in black and white glass featuring two cubic zirconias.
