Goldsmiths has announced a major refurbishment of its Coventry showroom.
The refurbishment will include a dedicated TAG Heuer branded area and a separate fashion area. Casio will also be included in a product offering which already includes Gucci and Vera Wang Love, and brands such as Tissot, Citizen, Hugo Boss, Emporio Armani, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Fossil, Ted Baker and Swarovski.
A dedicated seating area allowing customers to relax will also form part of the project.
Craig Bolton, executive brand director of Goldsmiths, said: “The high street is still hugely important to our business and to the jewellery trade in general, hence our plans for this investment. It is important for our customers to be able to come into our showroom and to feel the full benefit of the retail experience we offer, which we believe is world class.”
He added: “Our core offering isn’t just about selling our products, it’s about our value added service offerings such as watch services and repairs, personalised engraving and sterling care insurance – extras which enable our customers to enjoy their purchases to their full potential and to take care of them so they last a lifetime.”
Work will start in July. It is expected that increased demand prompted by the extended offering will result in new jobs being created at the store.
Established in Newcastle in 1778 Goldsmiths operates more than 100 stores across the UK, with showrooms in almost all the major cities.
