IJL unveils packed seminar programme

International Jewellery London (IJL) has unveiled a packed seminar programme which will feature leading entrepreneurs and retailers.

The keynote speakers heading up this year’s programme have been named as Laura Tenison, founder of the mother and baby boutique global multi-channel brand JoJo Maman Bébé, and Sally Heath, e-commerce director of successful fashion brand New Look.

The seminar programme, which runs runs the three full days of the show between September 6 and 8, features more than 40 high-profile industry experts sharing advice on topics including sales techniques, social media, human resource issues, security, brand building and intellectual property.

Sam Willoughby, event director, said: “This year’s seminar programme promises to deliver thought-provoking, commercial insights delivered by leading professionals drawn from a broad range of disciplines.

“We are also very lucky to have two of the most successful retail entrepreneurs as speakers, who will be sharing their first-hand experiences gained from the shop floor to the boardroom.”

The seminar programme also includes a discussion session with Jewellery Focus editor Michael Northcott, NAG chief executive Michael Rawlinson, and F Hinds director and NAG chairman Andrew Hinds, analysing the results of a survey conducted by Jewellery Focus into the progress independent retailers are making in the field of e-commerce.

The seminar programme, which is free for those attending the exhibition, will also include the return of its popular one-to-one advice clinics which were first introduced last year.
