Banks Lyon set for store refurbishment

Independent jeweller Banks Lyon is set to reveals its newly refurbished store to celebrate its 30th anniversary in business.

One year in the planning, the refurbishment is set to include both cosmetic and practical improvements to create what the company describes as an “exceptionally attractive atmosphere” and to provide a smoother and more personalised approach to customer service.

Structural changes will include larger and clearer windows, existing bay windows being opened up into a single pane display, and the entrance which will take on a modern, curved shape which Banks Lyon said is designed to help draw the customer into the shop.

The interior of the store will feature raised ceilings with a crystal chandelier, new white lighting, new seating areas and iPad connectivity allowing transactions to be conducted from anywhere in the store.

Banks Lyon said the new look features “bright, clean lines with feature wallpaper that can easily be changed for brand events, special occasions and much more, alongside new individual display pods, grouping products in a cleaner, minimal and more impactful style to create a less overwhelming and more accessible visual effect.”

Rodney Banks Lyon, owner and managing director, said: “We are all very excited to see the new store complete. This project has been planned for a long time, and the work involved has been substantial – just moving our safe required a team of eight men and extensive structural reinforcement.

“This is more than a simple redecoration. it is an extensive project that is aimed at helping our customers to enjoy a truly individual, modern shopping experience that you simply won’t find anywhere else.”

The Banks Lyon store will be closed between the September 21 and the October 4 to complete the refurbishment.
