International Jewellery London (IJL) has announced that its annual KickStart mentoring programme is opens for entries.

The initiative, which welcomes entries from young jewellers and emerging talents, will see 10 winning designers offered the chance to exhibit their products in a designated area at IJL 2016 for free.

Supported by the newly created National Association of Jewellers (NAJ), IJL said the initiative has helped 70 young designers since it was set up in 2009.

Sam Willoughby, IJL event director, said: “The KickStart stand is always one of the most popular features at the show. The lucky winners always set the bar when it comes to on-trend innovative design.

“It is brilliant that we have helped so many young designers access the commercial arena and it is especially rewarding to see each year how successful they are in securing orders and stockists as a direct result of the project.”

Potential KickStarters can apply online, with winners benefitting from exhibiting on a group stand at IJL 2016, along with receiving marketing and industry support from IJL and the NAJ. The deadline for entries is 13 March, 2016.
