Some key elements were identified then stripped down to create simple, delicate pieces. These designs are complemented by everyday \u201cFoundation\u201d pieces. \r\n\r\n\u201cWe play with traditional jewellery forms, mixing them with handchains, bodychains, ear jackets, and double-stranded necklaces. In other words, classic design presented in new ways.\u201d\r\n\r\nHouseThirteen was first imagined on the island of Bali, in 2015, where the British designer called home for over five years. Specialising in surface decoration, Alice hand applies her own illustrated decal drawings on to each item and sgraffitos into each of her porcelain jewellery range pieces. \r\n\r\nAlice prides herself on creating a range which has functionality yet is decorative and beautiful at the same time. Humour plays a key role in the narrative of her work; creating pieces which reflect the characteristics of being British. Her illustrations reflect her love of wildlife and favourite pastimes. \r\n\r\nAlice's new porcelain jewellery range is an exploration of colour, form and mark making. Her statement necklaces, earrings and bangles are all hand formed and painted using underglazes, which are then individually drawn into before being fired.
