Atelier VM, the fine jewellery brand, has announced two additions to its L’Essenziale collection for Summer 2021.

The necklace and anklet are designed to tell a story of “love and unity to last a lifetime” through the minimalist pieces.

Customers can design the pieces themselves, selecting the chain and charms before it is measured onto the neck or ankle and hand welded to secure.

The group first launched its welded design in 2014, making it the first jeweller brand to introduce the concept of jewels welded to the body.

Available in two thicknesses, small and medium, the necklaces prices range from £630 to £890, whereas the anklets are priced between £360 and £590, with an option of 18ct yellow, rose, or white gold finishes.

Marta Caffarelli and Viola Naj Oleari, co-founders of Atelier VM, said: “The L’Essenziale  necklace and anklet were born from the idea of creating a collection of jewels welded onto the body, where the leitmotif is the invisible welding that fixes a memory, promise or bond.

“Each piece is designed to seal an intimate, personal meaning hidden in a thread of 18ct gold with the perfect clasp, no clasp at all.”
