Boodles has launched its new equine-inspired collection, Lucky.

The new range is designed to showcase the “majestic nature” of racehorses and the “exhilarating moments” of racing.

The first winner of the Cheltenham Gold Cup, which Boodles now sponsors, was called Red Splash and for this new collection, its designers drew inspiration from the splash which forms when the racehorses are running around the racecourse.

The collection includes stylized horseshoes in platinum set with diamonds that are available as pendants, bangles, and wrap-around earrings.

The team also drew inspiration from sketches of Picasso and Darley which express the equine shape in a few lines, to develop concepts that capture “a singular, defining moment, speaking both to the beauty and power of racehorses in full flight”.

The earrings depict movement with diamond splashes beneath a central stone, whilst the pendants hang from bespoke chains that have ‘water droplets’ running through them. Even the static bangle depicts movement, placing four hooves together as prints in the turf.

Michael Wainwright, managing director of Boodles, said: “Drawing inspiration from the electrifying thrill and eager anticipation of the racetrack, this collection offers an enthralling glimpse into the momentary flashes of wonder and passion from a day at the races.”
