Christie’s has announced the launch of the Jewels Online auction, open for bidding from 24 March through 2 April.
The sale features a curated selection of diamonds and vibrant colored gemstones, with exceptional designs by renowned jewelry houses such as Bulgari, Cartier, David Webb, Van Cleef and Arpels, and more.
Leading the sale is a light brown-pink Colored Diamond Ring of 18.72 carats with an estimated price range of $300k–500k (£232k-386k).
The auction also features an array of richly saturated emeralds and sapphires, including a Raymond Yard Sapphire and Diamond Necklace featuring an oval mixed-cut sapphire of 8.85 carats with an estimate range of $50k–70k (£39k-54k) and an Emerald and Diamond Ring of 18.37 carats with an estimate of £100k–150k (£77k-116k).
The sale features an extensive selection of 1960 to 1970 jewellery, predominantly from David Webb and Van Cleef and Arpels.
This includes Important Jewels from a Distinguished Family Collection, a 51-lot assemblage that spans antique jewels to chic 1970s designs.
Notable highlights include a David Webb Enamel, Emerald, and Diamond Lion Bangle Bracelet with an estimate of $30k–50k (£23k-39k) and a Van Cleef and Arpels Chrysoprase and Diamond Necklace with an estimate of $20k–30k (£15k-23k).
Also included is a private collection of 15-lots, eight of which are David Webb purchased by the family in 1967.
Highlights include a David Webb Coral, Emerald and Diamond Bangle Bracelet with an estimate of $20k-30k (£15k-23k) and a David Webb Carved Multi-Gem Sautoir Necklace with an estimate of $40k-60k (£31k-46k).
Additionally, the auction features Property Sold with the intent to Benefit the PBS Foundation, a charitable 15-lot collection spanning antique to contemporary pieces.
Highlights include a Colored Diamond and Diamond Bracelet with an estimate of $60-80k (£46k-62k) and a Tiffany and Co. Paulding Farnham Antique Multi-Colored Sapphire, Diamond, and Enamel Pendant Brooch with an estimate of $20k-30k (£15k-23k).
