Dinny Hall is set to open its first store outside London, choosing Leeds for the debut of its new Jewel Box concept.

The 800 sq ft store will open in November within the Victoria Quarter arcade, marking a northern expansion for the brand known for its sculptural and gemstone-led designs. The boutique will showcase Dinny Hall’s fine and demi-fine collections, featuring hand-picked, responsibly sourced gemstones set in signature pieces.

Founded in Soho in 1985, the brand has grown to operate several boutiques and concessions in London, including a space in Liberty London. The Leeds store is the latest step in extending its retail footprint beyond the capital.

Founder Dinny Hall said: “It is particularly exciting to be opening our new concept, Dinny Hall Jewel Box store, our first store out of London, in the Victoria Quarter Leeds. Over many years we have amassed a loyal following in London and know that in our new home, in the beautiful Victoria Arcade, we will achieve the same loyalty from Leeds jewellery and gemstone lovers.

“On a personal level I am so happy to be coming to the city of Leeds where my paternal grandmother and grandfather came from and a long line of ancestors before them.”

Victoria Leeds, which is owned and operated by Redical, described the opening as a strong addition to its line-up of luxury jewellers. Head of leasing Rachel Bradburn said: “Dinny Hall’s craftsmanship, storytelling and refined design sensibility align beautifully with our vision for Victoria Leeds, so we’re thrilled to welcome them for their northern debut.”

The deal follows other new signings at the destination, including menswear brand Wax London’s first store outside the capital. LM and Central Retail advised Redical on the lease, while Dinny Hall represented themselves.
